Relationships Officer – Community Engagement (Fundraiser)

We’re recruiting a fundraiser to support the people, businesses and organisations who raise money for Treetops. Prior to the interview, a preliminary telephone conversation will take place with shortlisted candidates. We’re recruiting a fundraiser to support the people, businesses and organisations who raise money for Treetops. We’re looking for someone who loves people, has an outgoing personality, and can walk into a room and make friends.  Someone who can help to make Treetops famous in the villages and towns we serve. Income from the community is incredibly important to Treetops, as are those who do the fundraising. These people, if stewarded well, will go on to support Treetops in many ways over several years. As part of our Community Engagement Team, you will have the confidence to recruit new supporters by knocking on doors and popping into pubs, doctors’ surgeries, shops, factories, and offices. You’ll chat with community leaders and talk in assemblies, staff meetings and community groups. Reacting quickly to opportunities - advising people on their fundraising, recruiting onto Treetops events and passing leads to colleagues. You’ll have good IT skills and be organised, self-motivated and ambitious. Previous experience in a fundraising role would be advantageous but certainly is not a requirement. We know that many people from differing work backgrounds will have the transferrable skills required. For example, you may be the charity champion in your workplace, have worked in sales, hospitality, retail or university RAG. This role provides a great introduction to fundraising. You will spend 2-3 days a week in the community and 1-2 days in the hospice in Risley. On occasions you will work early mornings, evenings and weekends - time will be given back for this. Car owner/driver essential.  To apply, please: Send your completed application form with a covering letter to Danielle at: Applications@treetopshospice.org.uk Or, upload your CV and tell us about your reasons for your application.
