Relationships Officer – Legacy and In Memory

Stage 1: Prior to interview a preliminary telephone conversation will take place with shortlisted candidates. Stage 2: Formal Interview dates: 14 - 20 February 2025 We’re recruiting a fundraiser to join our Individual Giving team. The person we are looking for will support those who choose to leave Treetops Hospice a gift in their Will or may choose to donate to Treetops in memory of a loved one. We’re looking for someone who loves people, with a sympathetic and caring personality, and can have a sensitive conversation and be a listening ear. Our Legacy donors are incredibly important. Gifts in Wills currently helps to fund 2 in 5 Hospice at Home visits. We want to ensure that those who have chosen to leave Treetops a legacy gift know how valued they are. As part of our Legacy and In Memory team, you will help to steward these supporters by arranging events and support sessions throughout the year. You will also be fundamental in helping us to grow this income by building relationships with local solicitors, funeral homes and businesses. You will talk at local community groups, host tours of the hospice and inspire people to see how special Treetops is. You’ll need good people skills and IT skills, be organised, self-motivated and ambitious. Previous experience in a Legacy fundraising role would be advantageous but certainly is not a requirement. We know that many people from differing work backgrounds will have the transferrable skills required. This role provides a great introduction to fundraising. It will be predominantly based at the hospice in Risley, and we would be looking for the 16 hours to be split across 3 days, one of them to be a Monday to attend our weekly team meeting. On occasions you will work early mornings, evenings and weekends - time will be given back for this. Car owner/driver essential.  To apply please: Send your completed application form with a covering letter to Danielle at: Applications@treetopshospice.org.uk Or, upload your CV and tell us about your reasons for your application. For further information call Rebecca Lee-Jones Senior Relationships Manager – Individual Giving on 0115 865 6033 If you do not hear from us, please assume your application has not been shortlisted on this occasion. However, do keep an eye on our website for future employment and volunteering opportunities. Treetops Hospice encourages applications from all who meet the job criteria irrespective of age, race, gender, disability, belief, sexual orientation or socio-economic background.
