Kind-hearted fundraiser raises smiles

Treetops first in UK with Makaton-friendly status

Local charity Treetops Hospice Care has become the first adult hospice in the country to be awarded Makaton-friendly status, enabling staff and volunteers to better communicate with patients and their families.


Café celebrates 1st birthday and new group

Over 1,500 people have visited the Treetops Wellbeing Café since it opened its doors last January. The weekly Café is open to adults with a life-limiting illness, or those who’ve been bereaved, along with their families and friends.



Award-winning night for hospice volunteers

On Monday 7 October, local charity Treetops Hospice Care hosted a special awards evening, presenting five volunteers with ‘Values Awards’ for their significant contribution to the hospice. In addition, 14 awards were presented to volunteers and staff for their long-service, totalling 275 years of commitment to the charity
