The five-day trek, from 12 to 16 October 2022, includes a climb to the top of North Africa’s highest peak, Mount Toubkal – four times higher than Mt Snowdon.
Mike Pastor, our events relationship manager explains more:
“After being unable to travel abroad for such a long time, we’re thrilled to be offering people the chance to join ‘Team Treetops’ and tackle this exciting overseas challenge.
“It’s not a challenge for the faint-hearted! We'll be ascending 4,167m in rocky terrain, but from the top of Mount Toubkal, the views over the Atlas Mountains and Sahara Desert are stunning.
“It’s a real once-in-a-lifetime experience that you can complete over a long weekend.
Incredible Memories
"You’ll take away some incredible memories as well as the knowledge that you’ve helped us to care for even more patients in the local community.”
As well as climbing up Mount Toubkal, Team Treetops will be walking amongst Berber villages and camping under the stars.
You'll also enjoy home-cooked Moroccan meals and have time to explore the colourful city of Marrakech.
Team members are being asked to each raise £1,650 which will cover the trekking challenge costs, as well as raise valuable funds for the hospice.
The team will also have opportunity to meet and train together before the challenge.
"Do something incredible: come and join the Team and let’s climb a mountain together!”
