The night we called the Treetops nurses, we just weren’t able to do the simple things like make dad comfy in bed. You feel so helpless knowing you can’t do those little things.
"As soon as the nurses came, they spoke to me and my mum and made sure we were okay. And then they went to dad. They made him comfortable and had a little joke with him, which helped relax us.
They made dad’s final night at home as peaceful as it could have been. He was pain-free and happy. It’s all we could have asked for as a family.
