Wing Walk – Conditions of entry

Conditions of entry

I understand that:

1. Each person must enter separately. If you would like to take part in this event on the same date as other people, we suggest that everyone enter at the same time. 
2. I cannot use my place to raise money for another cause. 
3. I am not permitted to use the money I raise for any expenses. 
4. I confirm that I am 18 years of age or over. 
5. I weigh no more than 85 kg (13.3 stone). 
6. I can climb up the aircraft to the top wing where the rig is fixed (about 10 feet) 
7. I must be able to source my own transport to the event which will take place at Leeds East Airport, LS24 9SE. 
8. If I am older than 65 years, then I will obtain a doctor’s signature confirming my fitness to participate in this experience. 
9. I have no health problems to prevent me from taking part in this event. 
10. It is my responsibility to read and act in accordance with the terms of entry for the specific event that I have signed up for (here on the Wing Walk Buzz website). Please read the providers terms and conditions carefully. 
11. I am aware that Treetops Hospice is not responsible for this event and has no responsibility or liability for it.  
12. If I cannot take part in the event for any reason:
    1. I will inform Treetops Hospice and Wing Walk Buzz immediately.
    2. I understand that the deposit is non-refundable.
    3. I understand that the sponsorship money cannot be repaid to me. Treetops will contact each sponsor to ask them how they would like their donation to be treated. 
13. I will receive event and fundraising information via email, text, post and on occasion by telephone. 
14. I understand that Treetops may not be attending the airfield on the day that you wing walk. 
15. I commit to raise £499 or more for Treetops (excluding gift aid). 
16. I will pay at least £499 to Treetops before the balance of the costs is due, or at least two weeks before the event date, whichever is sooner. 
17. Any money I raise above £499 must be paid to Treetops within 4 weeks of the event date. 
18. Treetops will pay the balance of cost after the deposit. For example, a wing walk costing £399 requires a £100 deposit on choosing the date (the signup cost you pay) and has a balance of £299. Treetops pays the £299. 

Your declaration: I understand that this is a physical event, which is potentially hazardous. I confirm that I am 18 years of age or over and I have no known health problems which prevent me from taking part in the event. I am aware that Treetops Hospice staff and volunteers have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure my safety at this event but accept no further liability. I am also aware that photographs will be taken at the event, and I should inform a Treetops representative if I do not want to be photographed.
